More offers from Freedom Mobile
Check your emails. Looks like freedom is offering a great deal for a winback plan.
$29 after digital discount. No price increases. Access to 5G. Works in Canada and the USA.
Looks to be their $44 plan with permanent $10 discount and $5 digital discount to bring it down to $29.
EDIT: For clarification, this is for customers who have left Freedom Mobile in the past and have received an email to come back. There are specific codes in the email for the permanent $10 discount and activation fee waiver.
Reminder: code requests and solicitation is not allowed. It will result in a thread lock and infractions given to those who cannot abide by the rules.

I just got this offer as well but I don't' want to port my number back. Is it possible to just start up a new line (number) with this plan?

Should be technically possible. They want your money back, not your number!

Yes you should be able to. Just use the code in the email and ask for a new number.

Yah got this today too. Signed up over boxing week and cancelled under 15 days. They still charged me though and still waiting on them to refund me.
Odd is account looks like it’s still active.
But am debating hopping back on this deal. This doesn’t seem to have the 2 year promo the boxing week promo had.

This is a winback offer. YMMV.
OP, I'd add YMMV to the title.

It says right in the title that it's a winback offer for previous, now closed Freedom accounts.
From what I can tell it's an individual code.
Got this related to a line with the BTS 2021 50GB plan, when they first turned on their native network here. Cancelled it a few months later because of changing needs.
Since I didn't port out, that number has long since gone back into the pool. So I agree with the above that it should be possible to get a new number as long as you provide the code(s) in the email.

From what I understand, the support group at Freedom would say no to such a request. Of course there is no harm in trying, look up social engineering!
Winback = You have left that provider xyz so provider xyz contacts you. They hope to win back your business with a lower price or cheap mobile phone tab/etc or a monthly discount.

Those that use Freedom in the US, how is the coverage there? I go a few times a year just across the border to Watertown, Buffalo, and Syracuse, is it very stable? To add on, is the nationwide coverage while outside of Freedom zone good? It looks like there are quite a few areas around popular camping sites that are considered Nationwide.

When I was in Rochester, buffalo and NYC with freedom it was fine. Somewhat ironically better coverage and signal in USA than in GTA for me.

Ditto for me.
Cheaper cost isn't always better value.

In the US you roam on the US providers T-Mobile or AT&T. No issues across the border around Buffalo area.
Nationwide you should be roaming on one of the big 3, which again should be stable.

I have not been to MB but I'm pretty sure you can get coverage in the big cities since they biggy back off Rogers/Bell/Telus as part of their Nationwide network.
